To think
I could have said so much
to you
and what did I do?
kept my tongue tied to the roof
of my mouth.

Time takes a share
pares me down
thins me out

about this
I can do nothing
but
shout at the fates.

Something waits in the
shadows for me
I'm not looking forward
to see
what that is
or
perhaps that
Something
is the something
I could have said.
