When I was alone,
broken, beaten and scarred.
I had no home,
no place to hide.
The sun shone bright,
and I realised.
I found my place,
I found my light.

But suddenly darkness
came crawling back.
The sun hid away
took the brightness I lacked.
My heart pounding hard.
My knees shivering in fear.
Fear I would live
to suffer in here.

The light faded out.
The darkness is here.
It made a home
inside of me.
So here I am alone,
broken, beaten and scarred
with darkness inside me,
and the eclipse in my eyes.
****! I feel this way again.
