May 2017
he lived
to see the
glory day's of
my childlike heart.

he'd tear
it up only to
come back and fix it.

i ponder,
what would he
think if he could see
how high this
new and less abused
heart is flying?

i wouldn't know,
isn't it strange
how you're finally
loving yourself
after
losing something
that helped make
you who you are
today?
