Halls of mirrors
Everywhere
And all I see is faces

Solemn expressions
Ecstatic grins
Will never fill the spaces

Left behind
And out of breath
My panting soul sighed

Frantically searching
For what was not there
I set all doubts aside

Lying down
On shattered glass
There was no hope to be found

Crimson life
Spread throughout
That recently hallowed ground

Heartbeats slow
Eyes close
Painted lips fall silent

Simple swirls
Intricate spirals
Spin around in torment

Breath engulfed
My fated lungs
As my tired eyes grew wide

My body wretched
As it breathed in life
Searching for where souls reside

Getting up
And walking out
I pass an audience of changing hues

I’m invisible
Didn’t you know?
You don’t see me, it’s only you
