turn off your lights
unplug your wire
let the energy out
so earth can slumber

stop digging into the skin
extracting its blood
burning all the innards
so we can see the flower buds

they say to me all is pointless
they turn to me pointing their fingers
they look down with condescending eyes
they say why don't you choose
to live better
