I saw a sight! How it can fright,
A vision of immortal delight,
That I was guarded by a flame,
That shone like mine, one and the same.

When one day I screamed at night,
It guard me with transcendent light,
When that day at night I screamed,
Of Angel true I glimpsed and dreamed.

And he spread his fiery wings to invite,
Me to climb and take soul's flight,
I soared the airs, climbed heaven's stairs,
Free from earthly woes or cares.

And he flew me through the universe,
Light banishing existential curse,
Suffice to say this Angel's gift was art,
For painting with passion my hankering heart.
