Miles and miles of railway track
Onwards we went we didn't look back
Going to face the enemy probably to die
We were fighting for freedom
We would not question why.
We moved in silence no hope or despair
Bombs and shrapnel dropping everywhere
Death rained down in our hole of hell
Only the survivors had a story to tell
Miles and miles of burnt up track
There we died we never went back
Obituaries in tutorials
They put our names on memorials
Should we have questioned?
Was it our basic human right
History is riddled with glories and *****.
Bullet in the head,God save the King
Blackened roses in a sweet deathly ring.
Millions of mothers,mothers everywhere
We're living, left loving an empty chair
Hope we learn from that burnt out track
We're we all died and never came back.
