a plea
raindrops roll down my shoulders
as tears stream down my face.
the comfort of the water
is familiar, yet strange.
the chill sinks through my bones,
sharp and freezing to the core.
yet i welcome it with open arms,
the old friend from long before.
now everything is black and grey,
and my soul itself is numb.
i hope the pain will end today,
and the suffering will be done.
please let it end today,
please let it be done.
