I look at her, she looks at me
"I should go up to her. Nah let it be"
I glance away as she's on her way
"Hopefully I'll see her the following day"

She walked towards me like Earth left no beauty aside
A smile so beautiful, and to think the sunset was wide
Finally exchanged greetings, well that was a start
She left my sight, yet stayed warm in my heart

As time strolled past we became good friends
Well not that great, but enough to bridge our ends
I'd smile at her, she'd smile at me
Beyond that will we ever be?

I think of her while I sleep
I wake up, her face draws me deep
I shower, and my mind is brimming over her
Scary movies don't change losing her as my worst fear

A few months of opportunity, and here we are
Still smiling at each other, hasn't really gone far
I wish we could click, but hope stopped waitingΒ Β
"How I wish you'd love me, and we could start dating!"

"Mate let it go, it was never meant to happen,
Don't let one girl let your cheeks dampen."
"Yo chill you're wasting your hours,
Girls like her aren't a few."
.
.
I'd still chase a million stars
if it meant searching for you.
Based on a true story as told to by a friend.
