Hello grass
Hello dirt
Hello to the dust and roots
The soil underneath my fingertips
The feel of grass along my face
I feel welcomed
You punch me
Over and over
I fall
My face to the ground
The grass greets me like an old friend
Bleeding
Bruised
I get back up
Just to be knocked down
once again
The grass welcomes me with
Its soft touch
Rolling onto my back
I look up
I'm glad I'm not up there
I'm glad I'm here
Down on earth

Lying on the grass
