It started when the moon shone bright
Our feet floating through the wet glistening grass
It started when the moon shone bright
Feeling the wind chill then pass

It started when the notes fell from your fingertips
Moving through me and burning into my core
It started when the notes fell from your fingertips
Every note getting sweeter, making me crave more

It started when the rain kept falling
Missing us with every drop
It started when the rain kept falling
Time around us seeming to stop

It started when the stars shimmered over
Finding souls and knowing soft lips
It started when the stars shimmered over
Memorizing soft smiles and curves of hips

It started when time first began
Breathing our air and sharing this earth
It started when time first began
I wouldn’t trade it for all it’s worth
