As the years roll on
It has become more and more harder to wake up with a yond
Yet it is still living to look upon
My sight has gone dim
However, I am deep in my self-conscious being a whim
I remember my youth being athletic
Back in my school days, I ran track, swam and lifted weights
Those were my dates as I relate
Young and full of energy
I would have many women to date
But time as expired, and age says I am too late
I am an old man walking with a cane
I have aches and pains that shall remain
But I won’t concentrate and complain
I lived my life in how it was meant to be
My wife passed on after 45 years of marriage
We met in college and became lovebirds
Tomorrow became today being remembrance in heard
My heart wants to shout, but my mind has no uttering words
Old age in how I gained wisdom
It won’t be long before I will be entering the Heavenly kingdom
My wife and I will be reunited once again
It’s in God’s hands of when
Old man with a thinking mind and sincere heart
Hope in Heaven, and target everlasting.
