If I had a soul to sell
or a blade to impel myself
for the betterment of man,
and the movement towards,
the eloquent and grand,
I would wear those scars
with envied pride.
I would ride deep down
into the abyss of time
leaving a better world behind
for the small part I played
in this minor existence
we have all made.
