You* convinced me to give you a chance
That if I ever changed my mind you'd understand

I still remember the feeling of when you kissed me
I knew that whatever came next
You would be worth it

I felt that feeling every time we kissed
No matter what happened
All you had to do was kiss me and I would fall into the hopelessness of believing you were worth it

But when I begged you to stay
To work things out
You asked me to accept that you had changed your mind
That our timing was no longer right

But if you kissed me right now
I would believe that you were worth it

*You have always been worth it
