First you lied about the cigarettes
and the quitting
and the never ifs.

Then you lied about the packaging on the box.
Your eyes were red with fury,
your body shook with distraught.

But, Dad, you can't lie forever,
don't you forget,
because we all know
you can't lie if you're dead.
