It had been given
In an instance
With your first breath
then cry of life.
Not to be the last
Of the tears that life would ensue.
Life would turn to be rebellious
In a rally against you in a moment,
Cheering you on in the next.
Standing beside you
In every second
That would mean the world,
Or nothing at all.
You are that person
The one that is beside you
Not to say no one else is to matter
But you will make the difference
In the way you are to yourself
Whether you are pulled from the wreckage
Or left to slowly die
The decision will always be yours.
Never to say
The hand was forced
In the decision you had to make
You are always the one
And all fate is yours to change.
Remember in this life
When the angry scream in your face
Will you give them what is yours?
And let them take your sanity
Along with your mind
To be consumed with their last words
As it plays over in your head
And you wish on things that were not spoken.
Remember in that moment
It was you that was taken
There work was now done
And you are left in the confusion
Will you be able to amend yourself?
And know that it is nothing?
That you were never
The description they painted.
And in your mind
Know yourself well
Because you will always be the one
