When a voice carries like that
I wonder if you can hear what I hear
I want to know everything about him
And why he says what sounds so clear

I don't think of him as a lover would
Only as an idea I can take along
When I walk this way it takes time
Starting over doesn't have to be wrong

Look into my eyes for once
Don't be embarrassed to see
Clear your mind my love
I only want good things for you
Even if it's not me

Let's gather those notes together
He can't play for us whenever we ask
It's up to us to remember what he said
And take with us the things that will last
