Rain.
I'm so grateful,
For the place I call home,
With the friends I will cherish,
and a room to call my own.
For the arguments we've had,
Then the calm after the storm,
For the apologies we muttered,
When a brand new love was born.
For the rain that used to patter,
Leaking on our windowsill,
For all the laughter and the chatter,
Knowing life could only go up hill.
