The Messenger
A step ahead of Hermes
I rival the wind
And Pheidippides cried,
Herculean my stride
When no Nemean lions
Could swallow my pride
A thread of Arachnes'
Recalcitrant spin
Athena be bested
By webs I have vested
With powers I've woven
From gods I've contested
On Helios journeys
Apollo rescind
Narcissus reflection
Of Echo's complexion
And Oedipus kingdoms
Of blinded subjection
