I buried my worries,
Deep within my soul,
Into the depths,
Where I try not to go,
But in the middle of the night,
While I lay in my bed,
They creep from the shadows,
And enter my head,
Dragging me down,
Into their bleakest of places,
Bodies of darkness,
Without any faces,
Caressing my heart,
With an evil leer,
Causing surges of sadness,
Heart-ache and fear,
My demons thrive here,
Trapped in their haunt,
Playing their sick games,
Of torture and taunt,
Get me out of here,
Out of my mind,
Save me from this hell,
And help me to find,
A slither of peace,
An end to the sadness,
Away from this pain,
And all of the madness,
I can come back to the light,
As a new day is born,
My demons are silenced,
At the break of dawn.
