Detachments
Worshipping the finer things
You glorify your gods
On your knees you look to clouds
Instead of to the stars
Lost inside your paradise
Forsaking life on Mars
Arrogance and selfishness
The center of your universe
Inward thoughts implode
Upon the death of your sunlight
Salvation from the black hole lies
Alone in endless night
No shadow of a doubt it seems
Can change the fear of dark
The constant time and empty space
Though desolate and cold
Is still the only peace to find
Detached from all we hold
