This is the room I will die in
a rosary,
beads for the crying.

There's a sermon
I still have to hear
because
we are nothing if not hopeful
of life.

In Spring
when new roots start to grow and
hummingbirds sing
when the rivers swell and
all is well,
well
it'll be different then.

men are always as this
wanting the taste of one
more loving kiss
before the end of
the movie show

in the back seats
slow.

Spring and the roots will grow
again.
