As I lie here in bed at two thirty in the morning
I remember you.
Not only do I remember you but I remember you with fondness.
And I love these sweet memories
And the melodies we shared.
It wasn't meant to be, but I'm glad it was tried
And though this heart isn't yours
You hold the old half I gave you
So long ago.
