Shadows of a distant memory
Same reactions, point of view
Close but distant, so familiar
Yet walking from the world we knew
Did we ever know each other?
What was myth and what was real?
But I swear we loved each other
No matter how we both now feel
And the changing, rearranging
Continues through what seems the same
For I'm not that ancient person
Though I answer to my name
