Let Go
From my heart a plan was hatched
To envelop you within its care
Our sensibilities perfectly matched
To thoughts of you I became attached
Envisioning sweet unity
Where pure hearts are kith and kin
We'd be steeped in loves felicity
Touches searing like electricity
One, together without a seam
Going hand in hand
In words I yield these distant dreams
That overwhelm like floods and streams
But indifferent you spurn me
To continue casanovas chase
Inspiration turns to apathy
And I don't write this happily
Divulging this is indulgent, I know
But I have to let my feelings show
When hearts are spurned you have to learn
And let go
