Someone Put Me Out of My Misery
That last shot,
Of whiskey,
Filled my tongue,
With the taste of you.
I stopped drinking,
Long before the thought,
Of suicide,
Filled my head.
I stopped drinking,
When images of us,
Started to creep,
Into my veins.
Darling can't you tell,
I haven't slept too well,
Since last I held,
My beautiful girl.
I'd sell my very soul,
To call you mine again.
It's been so long since I've cried,
But I'm not sure I can hold back next time.
I stopped drinking,
When the whiskey began,
To taste like you,
And the *** began to taste the same.
