He's nice
Quite cute
But a little bit old
He is old fashioned
Not exciting at all

Dresses smart
But not casual
He held open the door
If he was just younger
Or a few inches taller
I'd give that a whirl

Weeks later you're sat there
Listening again
To how an Adonis
Dumped her again
Why can't she meet one
One that's for keeps
When all that you are
Is all that she seeks

Chemistry, spark
All of those things
And none of them
Where you're concerned

So off on her quest
He must be out there!
He's in here you fool
In the opposite chair

She'll never realise
He'll never tell
I simply watch them
As their lifes tick away
