Nov 2016
Amber rays glowing from your face,
painting cryptic pictures on the walls;
So grand yet lonely you often seem,
in bleak reflection from a raven's caw.

In darkness shines your solemn light,
with shadows cold and unyielding;
Appearing sad among bright stars,
my heart senses your need for healing.

How I hate to say 'so long' tonight,
hours before I have the chance;
To sing a soft, sweet lullaby,
and break your sullen trance.

Master Moon, you're such a puzzle,
often full of warmth and power;
But now your eyes have disappeared,
as sunshine fades before a shower.

I'll pray for you, my wounded friend,
as I drift into layers of sleep;
My words will call upon the Lord,
to wipe away the tears you weep.
