.

in this dingy cell of my own creation
there really isn't much to hope

it is cold, dimly lit
and the only thing they serve
is hopelessness
with a side of regret

but there's still a ray of hope
I lost the key,
but the door and it's hinges are rusted
from the seething hatred they contain

this place will not become my tomb
