The nights will get darker
and we will be surrounded by a black sky.
The chill in the air
will bring a tear to your eye.

And how they longed for the return of the summertime
utterly convinced that it was an epoch of sublime.

Surreptitiously the sombre sky was of no burden to me
for I understood that yin and yang would last for eternity.

We must experience dark
to truly cherish the light
so please don't be afraid
on these bleak winter nights.
