Everywhere I go I am haunted By thought and threats
Clowns Alternate realities Anger Slowness And the Madcap in my head Laughing at every step I take Throughout the sovereign path
I must remember what Is going on And realize that this illness is not on me And that I am in charge of what is going on I am superior in this disease
The sad part is By tomorrow, I will forget And my body will tire
Someday I will become of the Earth In the mausoleum where I lay In a foreign land Where I think that I am from And on this judgmental day Things are going to get a little easier
Schizophrenia is a mental illness that this poem is based off of. Almost every line in the poem is a direct symptom of the illness, but others are more cryptic.
