elusive sleep oh how you mock me
letting me drift, that sense of peace
only to ****** dreams back from gently
soothing and calming me down
I wearily  pray for release

bone-weary, fuzzy headed
If only my bed could
provide the respite so close, yet so far
once more, let me go to sleep
