Sep 2016
shunted and left amidst mornings dreary time
hopelessness is sometimes an ardent friend
when eyes grow tired of seeing endless nights
how simply importance can become undone
cast to nothingness no chance to amend

why choose more to disrupt... or disdain
shouting into oblivion against all that is smart
retire to hidden and special places
heavy with life's sap running thin
you thought... you think its all in your heart

laugh in the mirror to sullen surprise
attest to your intellect and wholly grail
follow your ardor and plain righteous ways
intimate lies are never the same
when all is accounted... you'll be sallow and pale
