The lost love and pointless apologies
Laid out on a park bench.

Waiting patiently for your return
Your touch, your embrace.
The smoke, entering your lungs,
taking the air away from mine
Leaving my chest to heave.

The music entering your ears,
Blocking out my pleading cries.
The guilt eating away at my soul,
Ripping open My heart,

But all you want is to get away.
Far away from the one who broke you, lied to you and betrayed you.

Lust is one to blame.
A devilishly beautiful sin
Eyes of MischiefΒ Β
Lips of lies
Drawing in to temptation.

With In seconds the cold autumn air
Turns to one of fire sent from hell.
And in the lonely hour,
The Sin takes over.

The alcohol,
Going down your throat,
Leaving your brain to *****
the filth in your mind,
The truth spills out with it.

Whats done is done,
Theres no going back.
No time machine,
No do overs.

All thats left is,
Spilled coffee, cigarettes,
hearts shattered on the floor
and
The lost love and pointless apologies
Laid out on a park bench.
