We all wear masks
To hide our face
The ugliness
The self-disgrace
The nothingness
The empty space
The blackest stains
We can't efface
The crippling pains
We can't outpace
How much we loathe
The human race
Concealed within
The darkest place
Yet kept too long
Upon the face
Disguises only seem to prove
There are some masks
We can't remove
