Sunflower Girl
Poems
Aug 2016
Regime
Waking up with the sun
Dusty eyes and sagging skin
Watch the mourning crowd roll in
Plaited hair, pressed apparel
Picket fences guard their tomb
Chained and guided from the womb
Silently they ruminate
But instead they walk on by
Truth obscured by vacant eyes
collaboration with unpractical peony
