Twelve Haikus on Summer

(1)
Sing with the siren,
She is no alarm at all,
Concede to the lark.

(2)
Summer hails all birds,
Perching on a threshold, Swift,
Enhancing my spark.

(3)
The heat calls within,
Ambit of my tolerance,
Summer breathes her call.

(4)
Stay awhile, do not stray,
I plead for your reluctance,
To fall into fall.

(5)
Once In four seasons,
Ringing bells and chimes of smiles,
Basking in your groove.

(6)
June, July, August,
Whereupon my mind dissolves,
Awakenings swirl.

(7)
A voice of reason,
The Sun teasing your season,
Dazzles my spirit.

(8)
Bountiful in hues,
My healing begins to sway,
As your fields unfold.

(9)
Painting my skin gold,
Your pallet of warm waters,
Brushing my summer.

(10)
Swimming in your seas,
Dappling, surging, conversing,
Writing, riding on.

(11)
Sorting out my thoughts,
In your seasonal binge, caught,
Questioning autumn.

(12)
Your heaven unfolds,
Surpassing the best in all,
Scenes catching your sheen.
