I know you think this poem is for you
whiteness
but it is not
it is dedicated to the human
after being killed for being not white
that is who my poetry is for
to raise the dead
that urgency
the sheer brutality
of something related to whiteness
that has been very hard to change
while we bleed to death
no matter how good we are
