Saving for a sunny day
As my eyes crawl out of my head and the sockets light up
everything looks bright red and it's raining outside,
It's crying inside where summer decided to hide
it'll soon be Autumn.
I bought some
Sun screen,
a waste of money and time
I wanna play
want to be catching a ray or two
just
wanna another day or two in the sun.
What time is it when the clock stops?
I'm oiling the mainspring, blowing dust off the dial
making the effort, going that extra mile,
and the radio murders me
switched on BBC three
a mistake
only take a minute
to rectify,
in a minute
I could die
no more summer or
blue sky
try not to think
child's play.
If I blink
I lose
don't blink
don't blink
and nothing goes wrong
I had to blink eventually and
that's when the devil
got a hold on me
It's still raining
draining my energy
the devil and me
got some cards
to play.
