You cannot wave the rights of man
In favor of a master plan

Yet, traitors to this land
Would haves us stand
Against those struggling hearts
Those hurt and hungry refugees
Whose mirrored faces
Find reflections of me
Minor variations
Scarred, older, younger,
Father, daughter, mother

Trembling hands
That labored long
In a place they can
No longer call home
Driven by fear to flee
To a place they hope to be
Safe and free
From violence

Instead they find this
Racist place is
Full of angry faces

In their name
I plead for saner souls
To stand with me
To stop the insanity
To help and love humanity
Because they are our family
