Who took the smile out of our eyes
As we walk down the street
Pushing luggage we don't need
Reading lies from the lips
Killing time as we please
Hearing voices lost in fears
Who turned our smile into tears

Who took the joy out of our lives
As we move hand in hand
With the one we love
Taking paths up the hill
Making things against our will
We move in pair but feel alone
Who turned our joy into stone

Who took the life out of our souls
As we drive ahead without control
Faking love for the show
Losing ground for the wrong reason
As we keep ourselves imprisoned
Like the pearls closed in a shell
Who turned our lives into hell
