In the lack of compassion and mercy, anger and hate is manifest. Hate is the opposite of love. There are many seeds that can be planted to cause hate. Ignorance, apathy and indifference are some of the greatest. When these things take root, hate is the fruit they bear. Hate will take many forms. Some are more subtle than others, but all put us on a destructive path. Until we know what hate is, we cannot fight it. Only when we learn to recognize hate, can we uproot the seed from which it springs forth and replace it with something else.
