Waiting here at the ends of time
Watching the last flower bloom and fade
Watching the last apple fall from a lonely tree
Watching the lakes go dry and the fish gasp for air
Watching the waves recede and turn to rock and sand
Watching the sharks and whales loss life and home
Watching mountains scream and bear and beast starve and cry
Watching the last cloud change shape and twist and dissipate
Watching the sky fall and horizon shake and earth quake
Watching the last star take its final breath
Watching the moon give up its poems and its ghosts
Watching the sun go quietly out as we witness the death of flames
Watching the universe crumble and fade to dust and ash
Watching god pack his bags and the devils tearful goodbye
Watching it all end
