Oh, you are an ocean
filled with memories and emotions
and all the mysterious things
that swim in your soul.
Oh, how can I plumb the depths
of your mysterious soul.
For it is far deeper than any ocean!
Oh, you seem have climbed
to the very top of heaven
and dived to the bottom of the sea
within that inky blackness far below.
Lived a million years
and understood all the mystery of creation.
Oh, how I find reasons without number
to fall in love with you
from this day to the end of eternity.
And each day my love for you
grows far beyond my love
that was only yesterday.
For it seems my love is like as tree
that begins as a small green leaf
and becomes a huge oak
as it climbs into the sky.
And every storm and ill wind
as it blows hard upon the tree
only gives it strength
as higher and higher it climbs into the sky.
Like bands of steel your love embraces me
and holds me captive.
And speaks to me of the love
that lives within us
as our hearts beat as one
as each speaks to each
in a language only we can understand.
And I know we only have each other
in all this infinite universe.
The loving father of all that is
on this world placed us
upon this tiny speck
in all the infinity of space
and in all the infinity of time.
And for this gift
a gift that is above all the gifts
for which I could have ever hoped
I shall eternally sing his praises
as the ages roll.
And hold this love for you in my heart
for as long as the stars burn in the sky.
