Memorable Journey
Entered searching for my berth
And settled with a sigh
You asked if I want water
Sipping I removed tie
Whistling loud the train then rolled
Nobody else in there
Only our souls in that coupe
just you and I to share
We were silent for a while
Then we started talking
Chatting that went on and on
theme was interesting
Many a thing were so common
our thoughts started matching
Went on till four in the morn
but time went on ticking
For me you sang those numbers
Even told me to try
Donβt know when that we dozed off
Woke up when sun was high
Dressed up and sat for breakfast
Served each other with care
Wondered how close we became
though coming from somewhere
Then we headed to the door
Opened and we sat there
Morning rays from azure sky
through the trees dancing glare
When fresh breeze from woods crept in
Your hair tickled my ear
Scenic beauty refreshing
You and nature so near
Whole day how we laughed and laughed
Night at eight we will part
Thoughts in heart running so fast
Like a train and a dart
Station had come, you got down
We parted, wishing well
Train then picked up momentum
Hurting was that farewell
Came back to coupe, on your berth
saw the library card
With your photo and address.
Ray of hope splashed this bard
