May 2016
After many hours of deliberation
about few things of great import
the sleep-deprived are haunted
now and again, "on earth as it is
in heaven", and will be forgotten.

So much so that tomorrow will
stare blankly into the mirror
and we'll feel lifelessness whisper
as I gaze into your constricted
pupils and pretend something is
there.
