The tricks we try to use against parents most never work.
They been there and done that just like us.
Trying to change clothes to fit in at school.

Trying to sneak around with that love interest.
Eventually get caught by one or both parents.

Trying to sneak out to only realize they caught onto it and locked you out.

Yes, they been there and done that.

Joyriding around without approval.
Until the police pull up on you.

Trying to skip school until you notice by others you not there.
They been there and done that.

Well, maybe not all of us.
But a few of us.
Which makes some of us greater parents.
