I don't care what people say
Even though I was not raised that way
Momma says "You have to care what people say"
I have reached the age
I don't care what they say
They say whatever they want to say
They don't go with me to pray
My bills they sure don't pay
So let them say whatever it is they say
On any given day
Their thinking cannot be swayed
So they can keep what they say faraway
If you listen to what people say
There is usually hell to pay
