If you knew the pain inside
what I felt and what I hide
you would see a different man
if you knew the tears I cried
how sorrow hid behind my eyes
you would see me in a different view
if you knew the struggles I go through
how each day was only a test of time
you would see why I give hope to shine
if you knew you would see
the path that was chosen for me
to show you a faith to hold
through the stories that I told
if you knew the love I tried
how promises only turned to lies
then you would see a heart that died
if you knew you would see
what Creator wanted me to be
so He layed this journey out for me
that was part of His plan
to give the strength in me
to do what is that I can
to show to you to look and see
at this life a little differently
