Tonight, in a crowded room I felt your absence,
and recognized that I would not know your company again

I wish your corn husk voice would sooth my bull frog tears once more
You don't need to stay forever
Just for this instant, be mine again
hold me like tomorrow will never come

Please help me sort through the heartbreak that is cluttering my purse,
and the mess of receipts and candy wrappers littering my heart
That is-
I can not seem to tell yesterday from tomorrow
A pile of ***** laundry is mocking me,
growing faster than I can be proud of
You'll find me hiding behind mismatched socks
You've seen it all before
